BIO

Bob has a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry (Sam Danishefsky) and did his postdoctoral work in the labs of W.S. Johnson. He worked as a medicinal chemist at Pfizer Global Research and Development for 34 years, where he was actively involved in the areas of process chemistry, immunology, infectious disease, diabetes, neuroscience, natural product isolation and in developing new technologies to impact drug discovery. He has over 100 patents and publications and has given numerous scientific presentations over the years. He continues to be involved in the discovery and progression of a number of drug candidates. He is an American Chemical Society Fellow and has been actively involved with a number of American Chemical Society activities including being an elected Chair of the ACS Organic Division. He served as chair of the Natural Products Gordon Conference and is on the scientific advisory boards of a number of companies/research institutes. He is one of the founders of BPW and currently is working with a number of pharma,directing CRO-driven drug discovery. Compounds (oncology/neurodegeneration) from these efforts have been advanced to the clinic.
